Eyes are the most important feature so they are detailed first... the day before I drew the initial sketch and transferred it to archival paper...

Day 3 and she is beginning to come to life...

Day 4 and she is definately recognizable... (the paper is blue because of the lighting, it has not been colored)

The final product!  Love the direct, attentive stare characteristic of the Rottie mix.

My favorite work of all... this is a silver point drawing done 17 years ago during my senior year of high school.  Silver point is a very challenging media, when I get a recent piece done I will post it...

My dad always said that my artistic ability was God given and to NOT use it was a sin!  For almost 15 years I have largely ignored this ability opting instead for work that was steady and regular, afraid that I would only amount to another "starving artist".  I refuse to be afraid anymore!  Dad... I'm doing it!
